SR Electrical Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development and troubleshoot of electrical systems in the company’s spatial biology instrument products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering of automation and life sciences instrumentation. The position will be responsible for determining, defining, and designing the electrical system approach to meet project and program design goals, requirements, and schedules. Demonstrated hands-on experience with PCB design and troubleshooting is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop subsystems including mixed signal PC Boards, system interconnections, AC and DC power supply systems and power budgets, electro-optical components, electro-mechanical control system, test fixtures and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members (mechanical, software, optical, and system) to solve complex, system level design challenges.
- Document of systems, subsystems, interconnections, test methods, theories of operation for subsystems, error budgets.
- Prepare and document design reviews for all phases of subsystem development.
- Support the building, testing, validation of electrical system for releasing to manufacturing.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years’ experience, preferably in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience and positive record of accomplishment developing electrical systems for complex equipment involving automation and imaging.
- Experience with electro-optical components, electro-mechanical control systems, data acquisition systems, computer systems, integration of sub-systems into equipment, power distribution, and system interconnections.
- Ability to take technical ownership of and make significant technical contributions to the development of new spatial omics instrument subsystems.
- Excellent oral and written communication and an ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment are crucial.
